Miscellaneous

Here is the catch-all page for links to other interesting websites...surf away! Oh, but don't forget to surf back and check in every once in a while.

Association of Children's Museums - Sports a directory that you can search by state! Don't miss out on a good time. I feel lucky to have children to take to our local museum because the place inspires me.

Constructing Kids - For inspiration.

Web Resources for STEM Education - A friend's handy-dandy list. Some of the links are broken but until I can scour through them all and make my own similar list this will have to do.

Elevating Childcare - A personal favorite page about child development and parenting.

Little Engineer Preschool - A preschool in Oregon that has a nice page for finding Lego-inspired ideas for preschool engineers.

Sites that Boast STEM Toys: Kids Toy ChestOppenheim Toy Portfolio - The Independent Guide to Children's Media

Fat Brain Toys has an awesome new site. Check out their new PLAY blog.

  1. The most advantageous part of belonging to a children's museum is that they are often honored at many other museums in the region. My family's membership at our local children's museum gets us free entrance to places like the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago (huge Tesla coil!) and Milwaukee Public Museum (Dinosaurs!) as well.
